Fredrix Pro Series Marker Canvas Description

Marker bleed-through ruins drawings and wastes expensive ink. Fredrix engineered this surface specifically to eliminate that problem. A proprietary ink-receptive coating sits atop smooth poly-cotton weave, creating a bright white surface that stops markers cold while maintaining the vibrancy alcohol-based inks are known for. The 11 oz. weight provides substantial body without stiffness, and the coating's unique formulation works across marker types, Copic, Prismacolor, Sharpie, plus spray paints and acrylics when you want to combine techniques.

That coating makes the difference. Standard canvas absorbs marker ink unevenly, creating muddy colors and fuzzy edges. This archival surface keeps pigments on top where they belong, delivering the sharp lines and saturated color that marker artists expect from premium paper, now available on stretched canvas. The smooth weave eliminates texture that can catch marker tips or create unwanted effects.

USA-manufactured quality means consistent priming edge to edge and proper tension that won't sag over time. Mount finished marker work without transferring to another substrate, or combine markers with paint layers for mixed media pieces that push beyond what paper alone allows.
