Paint on museum-quality Belgian linen that stays perfectly flat forever
Tempered hardboard that resists warping and brittleness, acid-free adhesive that won't deteriorate, and genuine 100% Belgian linen primed for either oil or acrylic work. The linen surface provides superior tooth and texture compared to cotton, gripping paint for better adhesion while maintaining the subtle weave patterns that add character to brushwork.
That rigid backing eliminates canvas flex entirely. You can work with aggressive techniques, heavy impasto, palette knife application, vigorous scrubbing, without worrying about the support bouncing or sagging. The firm surface also makes these boards excellent for plein air painting; they pack flat, transport safely, and don't require frames for stability during outdoor sessions.
Choose oil priming for traditional techniques or acrylic priming for faster-drying applications and mixed media work. Either way, you're working on a surface built to last. The Fredrix Archival Seal confirms every component meets conservation standards, from core to adhesive to primer. For studio work or location painting where portability and permanence both matter, these linen boards deliver professional quality without compromise.
